As part of the Board's biennial budgeting process, required by statute, the Board determined it was facing a budgetary shortfall for the 2025-2027 biennium. For the Board to continue operations as normal, the Board initiated rulemaking for a permanent rule to increase licensing fees and adopted a temporary rule allowing the increase in licensing fees to be effective upon filing on 7/16/2025. The rules were permanently adopted with an effective date of 10/13/2025. Failure to adopt the fee increases in this rulemaking process would impair the Board's ability to operate and protect the public.
